 Re: Bragging Board
Thanks guys. Its just a shame I couldn't ride the bloody thing a bit better on the day as it had 10.0's in it without a doubt. The 10.19 was only 1.68 in the 60ft. After only ever racing bigger CC stuff the approach to drag racing this bike is about a world apart. For those interested I put a UEGO wide band air/fuel ratio guage in beside the factory narrow band 02 sensor, to monitor onboard in real time/conditions and settle my curiosity of what was happening. The factory ECU's are programmed to compensate and adjust to try and keep the engine at stoich or 14.7:1 ratio or a lambda of "1" which ever way you want to look at it, in different conditions from sensor input as everyone knows. That is claimed as perfect combustion for fuel economy and emmission control. The UEGO gauge uses a wide band bosh sensor, which is callibrated to within .1 of an AFR. With the pipe free flowing and a better free flowing air cleaner it was sitting between 14.2 to 14.9 AFR from mid to peak RPM yesterday. Just shows how good the ECU's are nowdays on sportsbikes in their capacity to adjust. I am going to richen that back to about 13.2 in real conditions and see what effect it has though. Cheers.
