try coming up with $460 to enter the top fuel meet in pro bike and then two weeks later $600 to enter the meet you are talking about in sydney.as well as the $1500.00 LICENCE FEE FOR ANDRA AS WELL AS A COUPLE TYRES and associated costs of getting there etc.makes your $390 LOOK PRETTY CHEAP.if you want to keep racing get used to giving them your money.cheers.mark

i put this topic up on dragster.com.au

http://www.dragster.com.au/modules/newb ... SC&start=0

a lot of racers are unhappy about the entry fee price

alot are not going to enter cause of the price

looks like could be lower numbers then the summernationals

One person suggest if u aren't going to enter, email sydney dragway and tell them ur not racing cause of the price

I get what ur saying mark.......................

we all struggle........

Does the guy who is struggling in top fuel bike struggle anymore then the guy who struggles in mod bike.......no he doesn't...........cause they both struggle

The guy in mod bike still struggles with running costs and travel and entry fee's..

Bottom line is........... it doesn't matter what class ur in..........if ur struggling ur struggling........and high entry fee's doesn't help anyone in any class

We all feel for you guys down there Rob.
We have it pretty damn good up here, or we will when it dries out.

The bottom line with all this is.
Do you want to race?
Or are you REALLY prepared to park your ride in protest?

I have a fair idea what effect parking up will have,,,,,,,,,,,,,none.
Why?, because there are too many of us with dedicated race bikes that have put way too much money into them to look at them sitting in the shed rotting.
Entry fees have & will always be higher than we'd like.
Prize money has & always will be lower than we'd like.

We all whinge & gripe but we still end up racing.
Why?
We race because we love it, nothing more nothing less.
Plenty have stepped out for various reasons but others have stepped up.
It has always been this way & will always be this way, get used to it.

I think parking your ride or drive would have a huge affect to the tracks and ANDRA, so what happens next? $500 $600 or $700 for a group 2,3 or 4 enterant to "fill the gaps"? I love to race but things are getting out of hand.

I've been looking forward to racing at the winters for a long time, but, depending on the cost it might have to happen another year. Might be just too expensive :(

imagine if you had 10 or 20 (or even better none) cars in each brackets rock up to the nitro champs......... i think that SD managment would wake up to themselves quick smart.....

I would love to them run the nitros with just group one cars..............what would they use to fill in the 2 hours between runs for group 1........

Are the costs increasing to put the event on or are they lining their pockets :?: :?:
The costs for some of the things at Casino last year were more than double the previous year as some parties thought it was going to make huge profit.
I'm NOT saying they are right, but maybe they should be more open and show the racers how their costs are going up and up.

As for some paying, some not...How about unity ?
Everyone boycott said meeting...every single racer say 'NO,I'm not paying that.'
Imagine the panic if the day before the meet they had no entrants..

keep it up guys all this whinging and moaning is sure to bring the price down next year!!
hang on ive got an idea ...
send the nitro champs to willowbank so we can have a gold xmas tree round in our backyard and the 8-10 commited modbike racers from queensland dont have to travel 2000 ks for it!!
all this talk of industrial action is so inspiring makes me not want to go to work today..
id suggest if you cant afford to race more money is required!!
50% of your poll shayne would not be going anyway
see you there
cheers andy
