If it is too expensive run the meetings that you can. Yes Perth is cheap but look at how much it costs to get there, that is why it's cheap. Perth has always been a racers track but they also have great government funding. SD is just not run right and WB.......... well yeah there are issues there especially with the bike officials

Very nicely said Phil. You put into words what I was thinking exactly.

I would think particulary for mod bike racers a $390 entry fee could represent a large portion of costs. Then throw in the fact that many of these racers dont do just 6-8 race meetings a year but are likely to do 16 or more, any increase in costs has bearing on how many race meetings a racer can attend. I have trouble understanding why with perth being a very expensive capital city to live in, why are their race meetings so much cheaper to enter than Sydney or Willowbank. Does the increase in the costs of entry represent the level of good management or involvement of the tracks management in the grass roots of our sport rather than just the group 1 area. Good management and micro cost management means more racing for everyone. Phil Maybe like most things things these days, some budgeting is required. Unlike the east coast, not the number of tracks in WA. Stands to reason that entry numbers are all ways going high for major meets, or any for that matter. This maybe a reason for the lower fees. Al.

Still a minority of sooks on here that dont put shit into the sport or there rides and then cry because it costs to race at an event. They seem to think that the sport owes them something, my answer to you is leave the sport sell up and join netball or something where you get to wear a dress and stop wasting the real racers with your crap.

IMO, the $390 entry for the nitro's is too high, $290 would be a better figure for a 2 day meet for G3 racers, most of us are average wage earners...We all understand that it takes money to run a track, but why does a government funded facility like SD need to slug the budget racer with over priced entries, if they dropped the price by $100, that might encourage another person to enter, now lets say, that at $390, they get 10 entries and at $290 they get 25 entries, because it is more affordable, now which is more profitable? Even if they only got an extra 5 entries, they would still be making more money...Yeah, ppl would still complain about $290, but thats just life.

John Wayne you must remember people are budget racers and haven't made as many movies as you to fund their team. Do you race often JW?
