Rider Profile Johnny Pudarich
Midnight Rambler Racing

Bike:  1974 Kawasaki Z1A 900 (genuine, I bought this bike brand new) original frame & engine numbers, 1197 cc, best et 9.46, best speed 136.6 mph, best 60ft 1.304, all work done by Colin Linney @ 10/10ths motor cycle performance.

Rider:  Johnny Pudarich, 20yrs old, riding bikes for 16yrs, ex motocross racer, started drag racing @ the end of 2005 when he was offered a ride on the welsh family racing Yamaha r6 & even though he had never even ridden a road bike before, (I didn't tell the welsh's that) after only a few passes he had gone quicker than that bike had ever gone. after a couple of meetings he stepped up to riding my bike & the same thing happened, it was not long before he was going quicker than me. (he would love to ride top bike some day)

Crew Chief & Owner:  Tony Pudarich, pushing 54yrs old, riding bikes for over 40yrs (shit), ex drag racer, started drag racing in 1974 @ the age of 21 (Holden HG panel van) & on the 2.2.75 first drag raced my still new & as off the show room floor z1. the rest of 75 was spent (with the help of Ross Hannan @ Yoshimura) developing the bike & @ the end of that first year my brother john joined me & we became the Pudarich bros. race team (he was also racing motocross @ that time) we shared the riding & continued to race in a/sb till the end of the 70's. at which time we decided to take a brake & rebuild to go bigger, better & faster. during this period while the bike was in pieces my brother john was killed in a surfing accident @ Sandon point (nsw). after that the bike was put in the corner of the shed & forgotten about until the early 90's when Eastern Creek started & there I bumped into an old mate from the 70's, Colin Linney who had started drag racing about the same time as I did @ Castlereagh drag way. from there the old z1 went to Colin's shop (10/10ths motorcycle performance) & the rebuild was on (i was bitten by the bug again) & in 1994 @ the age of 41 & after a brake of almost 15yrs, i started drag racing again. I continued to race until 2005 when I gave my son Johnny the riding duties & he will continue to ride until he gets the opportunity to ride something quicker. (he would love to go pro bike & then top bike) @ which time I might though my leg over the old z1 again.

Crew:  Lynn Pudarich, age ?, can'nt ride a bike for shit, but loves her netball.
crew (part time): tashana pudarich, 21yrs old, also started riding @ the age of 4 but doesn't ride much now.
