Rick Rogers aka Papa Smurf. 45yrs young I think they call me a KIDULT
Born & bred in Sydney's southern suburbs (Sutherland Shire).

Moved to Mackay NQ at 17 which is also when I got my first road bike a cj360 Honda,,,,ok stop laughing, I rapidly progressed through a great procession of bikes, working in bike shops helps a lot.

One bike that didn't get away though is my trusty old GS1000 Suzuki that I've had almost forever & I love that bike like it is one of my kids. Mackay was where I had my first taste of drag racing at Palmyra & was hooked for life.

Moved back to Sydney in '86 & then moved all over the place working at different jobs & chasing my dream of owning my own horse stud & running what ever bike I had at the time down the nearest strip.

You see motorcycle drag racing is like bloody cancer,,,,,,once the bug's got you, ya stuffed.

Anyway got the farm, went broke, moved to Brisbane & met my fantastic fiancé' & crew chief Michelle.

Currently live in Warner just north of Brisbane & earn a dollar as the Service Manager at Caboolture Motorcycles.

My current race bike is a gpz1170 Kwaka mod bike, P.B. so far is 9.82sec @138.8 mph but I'm hoping after just receiving my new Joe Marshall gearbox that she'll go under 9.50 & break that elusive 140mph mark.
I couldn't do any of it without the love & support I get from Michelle though, every time I get a bit down on things she just gets right in there & says "ok what do we have to do to get this right & go racing & have some fun".

I tell you I am truly blessed.

I like,,,,no LOVE to take the piss out of people & am also very passionate about supporting the grass roots growth of our sport & will always lend a hand where ever i can.

I have no major racing achievements to date but with the bike back together & on track in December that's all about to change, lol.

I dislike liars, thieves, cheats & sandbaggers, oh & Brussels sprouts.
